Born in 1969 in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec's Liverpool, two steps away from the agricultural fair, JF Lemieux grew up in a strawberry field where he combined the duties of an acrobat and a dreamer. Became a clown at seven: we can say he rapidly came to terms with himself. At thirteen, a fender bass fell from the sky on his head. JF Lemieux saw some stars and recognised one of them! It was now clear: whether he liked it or not, JF Lemieux would be a superstar…of the solar system.
He moved to Montreal at age 17. One thing leading to another, JF Lemieux joined the bands of Jean Leloup et la sale affaire and Daniel Bélanger. He played during the Montreal Jazz festival many times and collaborated with the Cirque du Soleil. He went on tour with Kevin Parent and appeared on more than 75 studio albums.
In 1997, with his friend Stef Boucher, JF Lemieux formed the alternative group Basta and released the album Radieux-Sceptique. A clashing and astonishing work in Quebec's musical landscape.
After his duo experience, JF Lemieux has decided to produce his own project entitled Superstar.system which he wrote, composed and produced.
